The Oorlogskloof Trail Run takes place in the Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve in April. Various distances are included and the spectacular Oorlogskloof River canyon forms part of the routes. The Darling Brew MTB is usually scheduled for the last weekend of April, close to or on the Workers Day Public holiday. It starts and finishes on the farm Brandkop and there are three routes to choose from: a 20km, 40km or 80km route. There is also now a Trial Run.

The Flower Season from August to September, is the best time t visit the Bokkeveld Plateau for its diversity of flowering plants. This is when the town and surrounding area are transformed into a tourist paradise. For more information call Information Center 027 218 1336.

The Spring Bazaar is held on the first weekend of September/October school holiday, and takes place at the Dutch reformed church hall on the church grounds.
